UVA ursi (botanical name: Arctostaphylos Uva-Ursi) is a small shrub with crooked, irregular branches and evergreen leaves. UVA ursi is widespread in the northern hemisphere; the mountain regions of Europe, Asia and America.
"Uva Ursi" means "Bearberry". "The plant takes its name from the fact that bears eat the berries taste. The dried leaves are the only part of the plant, which is used for our health. In September and October, only the green leaves are collected are then dried in warm rooms.
UVA ursi has a tonic effect on the urinary tract, the bladder and the kidneys. UVA ursi keeps the urinary tract clean and supports the moisture balance, so that you can pee.
