Amalaki Chyavanprash is a traditional Ayurvedic herbal paste prepared from amalaki fruits. Chyavanprash is also called 'Chyavanaprasam' or 'Chyawanprash'.
Amalaki (Emblica officinalis) is the Sanskrit name of the Indian gooseberry and is also known as the amla fruit. Amalaki is a natural source of vitamin C and the main ingredient of our Amalaki Specials. The organically grown amla fruits and herbs are collected and processed by native Indian pickers at an artisanal Ayurveda factory in Gujarat (India). In addition, the Amalaki Chyavanprash fruit paste is prepared with real Sharkara (Ayurvedic cane sugar).
What is Amla/Amalaki?
The Amla or Amalaki tree (Phyllanthus emblica or Emblica officinalis) is a small to medium-sized tree that is widespread in India, both wild and planted. The berries of this tree can only be harvested in the winter months and are naturally rich in vitamin C and antioxidants.
